Vioxx Lawsuit Settlement

Merck & Co., Inc. has announced a plan to pay $4.85 billion to resolve Vioxx claims related to a heart attack, stroke, or sudden cardiac death. Lawsuits filed or tolled before November 9, 2007 can be considered for settlement under the plan.

Claims are not, however, automatically part of the settlement. Each plaintiff must agree to submit his/her claim in order to be bound by the settlement. Bailey & Galyen is working to comply with the Settlement deadlines, and reviewing each client’s case for compliance with the Settlement.
